Whatsminer ASIC's Rejected Shares and Update Procedure
Migodi offers higher payrates than other Mining Pools because we sell hashrate and are able to pass the extra earnings over to our customers. Because of this, your hashrate may be used for other coins while mining on our pool, like the popular Fractal Bitcoin. With the rise in popularity of other SHA-256 Tokens, we've found an issue with WhatsMiner ASIC's without the most recent firmware having their shares rejected, sometimes up to 20% of the miner's shares! In our pool you might see your ASIC's demonstrating a lower hashrate than normal - this is how the rejected shares manifest in the Pool Interface. Fortunately, this can generally be rectified in a few simple steps:
1. Make sure your ASIC is running the newest firmware: (At the time of writing, version 20241108).
2. Download Whatsminer Tools to your system: (At the time of Writing, the newest version is 9.0.3+)
3. Use the Network Scan function in WhatsMiner Tools to identify all ASIC devices on your network.
4. Configure Pools: Within WhatsMiner Tools, navigate to the "Pools" Section
5. Select Coin Type: From the dropdown menu, choose "DGB" as the coin type.
6. Apply Settings: Update your ASIC configuration with these settings to ensure compatibility and improved performance.
By Following These Steps, you can enhance the stability and efficiency of your miner.
