Migodi Mining Setup

Migodi Mining Setup

Get started mining with Migodi Pool using the following steps:

  1. Get suitable hardware
  2. Sign up for a Migodi Pool account
  3. Configure your Mining Device
  4. Register your Wallet Address for Payout
  5. Check operations and your mining

1.      Acquire ASICs

Bitcoin can be mined with SHA-256, Scrypt, and KHeavyhash ASIC's.
While GPU mining is possible, it is not realistic or feasible to mine most coins with GPU's anymore. Migodi Pool requires an ASIC to take advantage of our higher yields.

2.      Sign up for a Migodi Pool Account

All you need is an email address to open an account. Signup and Login can be found at pool.migodi.com

3.      Configure your Mining Device

Please note that hardware manufacturers may have specific settings requirements and different settings interfaces. Please follow their official documentation when setting up your miners. This also applies to cloud mining services as well - if you're interested in mining without a device, check out our Hashrate Packages from our store https://app.migodi.com/configurator/hash-power
The login credentials needed for your miner look like the below sample (You will need to change userName and workerName according to your sub-account details):

Parameter

Value

URL

stratum+tcp://btc.migodi.com:3333

User ID

Sub-accountName.workerName

Password

Anything

Your Miner must be connected to one of our Stratum servers. They are below and as follows:

Coin/Algorithm

Value

Bitcoin

stratum+tcp://btc.migodi.com:[3333, 443, 25]

Scrypt
stratum+tcp://scrypt.migodi.com:[3333, 443, 25]
KHeavyHash
stratum+tcp://khh.migodi.com:[3333, 443, 25]

What miner you have will dictate what server you connect to. Match your ASIC algorithm to the appropriate algorithm stratum endpoint.

4.      Register your Wallet Address

Registering your wallet is a simple and necessary step to earn rewards. Simply Navigate to Settings in the top bar. From the Settings Page, select Coin -> Configure Coin. You will be asked to complete a 2FA sequence. From there, enter your BTC Wallet Address.

You will need a BTC Wallet Address even if mining other algorithms, like Scrypt or KHeavyHash. Make sure to enter your BTC Wallet Address in the algorithm that matches your ASIC's.

Please also note that a 3 day security period applies once you enter your wallet address during which no transfer will be made. This is to protect you in case there's an error with the Wallet Address that you catch later or in case of any compromise. Always be very careful with your Wallet Address and general security!

5.      Check your Operations and Mining

Once your ASIC's are connected, make sure to check our Dashboard and your own ASIC monitoring software. You can also set up notifications for offline visibility under Profile -> Profile Settings -> Notifications. Please be aware that it can take up to an hour to see your ASIC's performance - some variance is possible in the start. Performance should level out after an hour or so.

Monitoring is a core part of any mining operation no matter the size. Be sure to check in periodically to minimize any issues and keep your mining steady.

You're set! If you have any further questions or need assistance check out our other help documentation: help.migodi.com/articles or send an email to help@migodi.com. We will get back to you within 24 Hours.
